Business opportunity
Three ways to work with AMSOIL
There is a real distinction between selling AMSOIL, buying it for a business you already run, and stocking it on a shelf for resale. They are separate programs with separate economics. Below is a plain description of each, so you can tell which one actually applies to you before filling anything out.
Path 01
Independent Dealership
Sell AMSOIL and earn commissions on what you sell.
Registering as an independent AMSOIL Dealer is a low-cost business registration, not a franchise purchase. There is no inventory requirement, no territory to buy and no minimum quota — AMSOIL ships direct to your customers and pays commission on the volume. On the Gulf Coast the natural openings are marine service, mobile mechanics, powersports shops and anyone already trusted for maintenance advice.
What it includes
- Commissions on customer and account purchases
- No inventory or territory purchase required
- AMSOIL handles fulfillment, billing and shipping
- Wholesale pricing on your own equipment too
- Work it part-time alongside an existing trade
Path 02
Commercial / Fleet
You operate the equipment and want to cut operating cost.
Charter operations, marinas, guide services, landscaping crews, construction outfits and delivery fleets buy lubricants as a cost line, not a hobby. The commercial program gives account pricing on the full catalog, and the argument is downtime rather than dollars per quart — one avoided lower-unit failure in peak season outweighs a season of oil cost.
What it includes
- Account pricing across the full AMSOIL catalog
- Extended drain intervals reduce labor hours
- Consistent product supply, shipped direct
- Technical support on specs and approvals
- One point of contact for the whole fleet
Path 03
Retail Account
You have a counter and customers who ask for good oil.
Marine dealers, powersports shops, hardware stores, repair shops and tackle shops can stock AMSOIL for resale. It differentiates the shelf from whatever the big-box store down the road carries, and the margin on a premium line is better than on commodity oil. I handle setup and restocking conversations locally.
What it includes
- Wholesale pricing for resale at your margin
- Point-of-sale and product literature support
- A premium line the big-box stores do not carry
- Local dealer support for setup and reorders
- Flexible order sizes while you gauge demand

No pitch, just a straight answer
Tell me which path you are considering and what you currently do. You will get an honest read on whether it makes sense for your situation — including when the answer is that it does not. I would rather have that conversation up front than sign someone up for the wrong program.
